Today I learned about Bloom's Taxonomy and how to create a blog.
I read about Bloom's Taxonomy while surfing the web this past summer so I had a bit of knowledge before the session.
I genuinely find this topic to be very interesting.Bloom's Taxonomy consist of six (6) different levels: remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate and create, with "create" being the highest level. The levels of Bloom's Taxonomy as they ascend requires higher level of thinking. for example creating requires greater cognitive ability than if an individual were to analyze or evaluate something.
Mrs. Roberts assigned the task of creating a table in Microsoft words pertaining to Bloom's taxonomy. I knew how to create documents in MS words before this session. therefore my prior knowledge made it a bit easier for me to complete this task. However,I'd love to learn other ways of manipulating Microsoft words in order to get the same results.
Moreover, i also learned about making a blog on Google Blogger . I was very excited to learn about blogging as its something I've always wanted to. This blog will serve as an online as an online
E-portfolio. I did not know that Google offered a blogging application so I became very excited to explore the other applications Google offers.
Certainly, today's lesson was an awesome session and I would love to learn how to put Bloom's Taxonomy into practice as well as other ways i can incorporate blogging and other Google apps in the classroom.
xoxo
